Some people are just now joining the social responsibility movement, while others have been focused on using business as a force for good their entire careers. Frank is among that latter group, as he’s sought to find ways to do business better for more than 30 years — working in the small business, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. In 2005, he founded Vianova to help clients build more purpose-driven organizations, discovering a new path forward via strategic planning, meeting facilitation, and social impact consulting. Always walking the talk, his company was one of the first certified B Corporations — a classification reserved for businesses that adhere to rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency — and he is a B Corp champion in San Diego, someone who raises awareness of the value of the certification process.

Frank’s expertise makes him a sought-after consultant, facilitator and speaker, and his collaborative style puts people at ease, even as tough decisions are being made. “We couldn’t have done this without you,” is a comment he often hears following client engagements. Someone with unshakable integrity, Frank never compromises his high standards and always delivers on what is promised. He never takes for granted his role as a trusted advisor for his clients; going above and beyond is built into his DNA.

With a broad background that includes strategic planning, interim executive management, operations, marketing, event management, and business development, Frank is able to serve clients as an educated sounding board. He gained much of that experience at American Express, which honored him with its Great Citizens Award to commemorate the company’s 150th anniversary.

Frank attended Northeastern University and Rhode Island Community College and earned a certificate in project management from San Diego State University. He is also a graduate of LEAD San Diego, described as a “master’s degree” on San Diego due to its mission of training regional civic leaders through a nine-month leadership development curriculum. Frank is a proud member of the International Association of Facilitators and Business For Good.
