Since completing his tour of service with the United States Army in 1992, John has been engaged in serving people through the non-profit sector. Through his experience with The Salvation Army, YMCA and Palomar Health, has direct experience with capital, endowment, and major giving campaigns, and understands the importance of organizational advancement. John’s greatest strengths include team leadership, consensus building, strategic planning, campaign management, inspiring staff and volunteers, and a tireless devotion to mission success.

As CEO of Community Resource Center (CRC), John has stabilized organizational operations by establishing a future vision, supporting the board of directors, improving program impact reporting and increasing funding.

Father of four, and grandfather to one. John values authenticity, integrity and compassion – embracing diversity and practicing acceptance. He also believes people want their lives to matter: receiving support in times of need, expressing creativity through meaningful work, and sharing generously with others. John wants people to have what they need to thrive and enjoys connecting the compassion of many to the needs of many to make this want a reality.
