The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce hosted a special First Friday Breakfast –to kick off National Police Week 2021 - with Carlsbad’s Assistant Police Chief Mickey Williams. This presentation will help businesses prevent and deal with different types of incidents.
- Carlsbad P.D. has recently developed a new Crisis Management Training program. This program requires an interdisciplinary approach to training that focuses on incident management, cognitive and decision-making development and seeks to interject not only technical and tactical proficiency, but also the reinforcement of core law enforcement values and the “overarching principle of reverence for human life.” While all this is done by CPD to protect our community, many of those techniques can be directly applied to businesses.
