Hear the inspirational story of Rory Graham, his life, legacy, and the Foundation founded by his mother, helping to inspire the young men of Army & Navy Academy
Good role models are hard to come by. For the young men of the Army & Navy Academy, the legacy of Rory Graham has proven to be just that. One of their own, Rory graduated in 3 years with honors, became a minister, traveled all over the U.S. to high-risk areas and planned to start a church in North County. But his life was tragically cut short in 2009, and in 2011, his mother Karen was approached by the school to start a Foundation in his name. The purpose was to inspire the young men at the Academy - and elsewhere in the community - to see the success of a young cadet of color.
This is the inspiring story of how Karen did it. She shares her ups and downs and how her faith in God helped her push through to accomplish not only the starting of the foundation, but the starting of other community outreaches as well. You’ll hear about her “Dress for Success” program at General Murray High School and how, in over 6 years, she’s dressed over 500 boys for success – what an inspiration! These stories and more await, in this uplifting and heartfelt podcast.
